Wildlife Habitat

The Advanced Eco-accredited Wildlife Habitat is a wildlife immersion exhibit – an open and interactive environment for guests and animals to mingle in a spacious natural setting. Visitors wander along elevated boardwalks, observing up close a huge range of flora and fauna as birds fly and animals roam freely.

Experience the four different environments where visitors and animals mix freely, the Savannah, Wetlands, Rainforest and Grasslands. Hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, observe cassowaries and Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroos and cuddle a Koala!

The Predator Plank allows you to test your courage as you “walk the plank” over crocodile-filled waters. Lurking below you are five Estuarine Crocodiles. This unique experience is included in your admission price so book now to get up close and personal with natures apex predators!

Experience the symphony of sounds and colours of wildlife and tantalise your taste buds at Queensland’s best tropical buffet, as you enjoy Breakfast with the Birds (8am to 10.30am) or Lunch with the Lorikeets (from 12pm to 2pm).

Located at the entrance to Port Douglas, local shuttle buses operate regularly from Port Douglas to their door. If travelling from Cairns, Wildlife Habitat is located 50 minutes north along the scenic Captain Cook Highway.
