Danbulla National Park and State Forest Camping

Several camping areas are provided in Danbulla National Park and State Forest, from which you can enjoy the unique features of the area including crater lakes, strangler figs, rainforest walks and places of important local history and interest.

The platypus camping area is in a hoop pine plantation and is popular with anglers.

Downfall Creek camping area offers uninterrupted water views; a short walking track links with Kauri Creek camping area.

Kauri Creek camping area is on the edge of an inlet of the lake and is perfect for swimming and canoeing.

School Point camping area offers attractive individual campsites with pleasant views of the lake, pine plantations and landscaped surrounds.

Fong-On Bay camping area is popular with water-skiers and can accommodate large groups.

Curri Curri bush camping has campsites that can be accessed by boat only.

Camping permits are required, and fees apply. Book and purchase your camping permit in advance. Bookings can be made on-line, over the counter or by phone.
